Our wines reflect the terroirs that have created them.

After limited intervention during winemaking, our wines are naturally matured in French oak casks. Lightly filtered, they keep their genuine organoleptic qualities.

Echézeaux Grand Cru

Grand Cru Echézeaux Grand Cru

    • Terroir

Clay, limestone, sand et stones, located in the Côte de Nuits in the village of Flagey-Echezeaux, in between Vougeot and Vosne-Romanée, on a block named « En Orveaux » above the Clos de Vougeot.

    • Winemaking & Maturation

Hand-harvested, grapes have been sorted out before a 18 days fermentation. Wine has then been matured in oak casks (50% new barrels) for 16 months.

    • Wine description

Dark purple colour. It is very powerful on the nose with an aromatic combination of black berries, spice, liquorice and toasted notes from the cask. On the palate, these aromas are enhanced by a wonderful natural balance mixing ripe tannins, lovely acidity and concentrated texture. The wine is well structured and velvety on the same time.

    • Wine & Food

To be paired with "supreme de volaille aux Morilles" (poultry with morello mushrooms), duck breast or strong cheeses (Epoisses).

    • Ageing potential

At its best after 5-10 years and decades in great vintages.
